WHY DO DOG EAT GRASS?

As we all know that nutrition and good diet is very essential for a healthy living for all you need to be very careful regarding the diet of your dog or be very attentive towards what your dog is eating daily.

IS YOUR FOOD IS PROVIDING ENOUGH NUTRITION'S TO YOUR DOG?

If you provide the healthy and tasty food your dog will might not be shifting to eat the grass,provide him the tasty food as tasty he feels for the grass.

*Now there can two reasons of grass eating for your dog-

1-Graging

2-Instinctive behaviour

Grazing.

The first reason why your dog is eating grass is grazing,Dog munches the grass very happily and has no ill effects itself. This is the very unique habit we found in dogs,sometimes if you are providing your dog a healthy diet then also he will eat the grass.

Some vets claimed that dogs eat grass for the taste or when they are bored or they eat grass when they feel some health related problems. They think their problem can be cured be eating the grass,this can be the very possible reasons.

Instinctive behaviour.

The other possible reason for a dog to eat the grass is the instinctive behaviour. The grass eating is the attempt by the dog when they have some stomach problems so by vomiting they cures their stomach problem.

Most of the times this is the only reason for a dog to eat grass.

When the dog eats grass all the waste or bad things which are disturbing the stomach,will comes out after vomiting,after that the dog feels the sense of relief,that's why they do this grass eating.

SAFE TO EAT?

The grass eating for a dog is not a very serious note until your dog is taking the grass in very high quantity of grass, always keep an eye on your dogs behaviour. And also don`t allow your dog to eat any type of grass they might have pesticides this can creates the very serious problems for your dog. 

so always keep an eye on your dog when you are at your home or you are in garden with your dog-walking.

HOW CAN I GET MY DOG TO STOP EATING GRASS?

First I would suggest you to don`t stop the grass eating behaviour of your dog until your dog is eating grass in very high quantity.

So,if the grass eating has became a concern to you then you can do the certain things to cures the problem.

1- Your dog might have nutritional deficiency,so provide him more healthy food.

2-Make sure to ask to your vet about the diet for your dog.

3-Provide your dog a very hygienic environment.

YOU CAN STOP YOUR DOG TO EAT THE GRASS BY SOME TRAINING AND BY THE NUTRITIONAL DIET AND TASTY FOOD IN DIET.

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY DOG NEEDS A VET?

Normally the grass eating is not a big concern to be bother about,but if your dog is doing this on daily basis, he daily eats grass and vomits regularly then it can be some serious note, then you should consult to your vet.

On the other hand their is one disease name 'PICA' in dogs in this problem the dogs starts eating anything they found such as plastics,wood,mud etc. if you found this type of behaviour in your dog then you should surely consult to a vet.

Overall eating grass is normal for a dogs it is not a big issue to consult until this is in your dogs control if a dog sometimes eating grass and vomit after the,and feels good then you didn`t need to bother about it but if this has become the daily and regular habit for your dog then it can be the problem for your dog.
